Zodiac × tarot
One sign at a time: its planet, season and myth, its place in the birth chart, and the tarot card it belongs to. Each article accompanies an episode of our video series.
The pictures come from two old decks. The constellations are from Urania’s Mirror, a boxed set of 32 star cards published in London in 1824. Each star is punched through the card, the bigger holes for the brighter stars, so the constellation shines when you hold the card up to a lamp. The tarot cards are from the Rider–Waite–Smith deck, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith and published in London in 1909.
